Some antihypertensive drugs may cause hair loss. Beta blockers (metoprolol, atenolol) and ACE inhibitors (enalapril, etc.) can trigger telogen effluvium, typically appearing 2–4 months after use. Not all blood pressure medications cause this, and switching medications should be discussed with a physician.
